“Where fire leaves its mark, I begin.”
Wildfires' Creations is rooted in reverence for materials shaped long before I ever touch them. Each piece begins as fire-scarred wood reclaimed from remote landscapes — not harvested, but discovered — carrying the quiet history of survival, time, and transformation.
My role is not to impose form, but to listen. To preserve what nature has already written, and refine it through careful craftsmanship into a singular object meant to live with intention, weight, and presence.
Every piece at Wildfires' Creations begins as a survivor — struck by lightning, shaped by weather, and preserved against decay. These are not raw materials selected for perfection, but remnants marked by resilience and time.
Rather than altering the wood, Hubert's work reveals what nature has already designed.

It began quietly — on a solitary hike through the Utah mountains, where the air carried the scent of pine, dust, and last season's storms. Along a ridgeline, something unexpected caught his eye: a fallen tree, split by lightning, its surface burned black yet alive with texture and form.
He knelt beside it, tracing the ridges where fire had left its signature. In that moment, something became clear — nature had already done the sculpting. The storm, the wind, the years of sun and snow had shaped a form far more expressive than anything manufactured.
What others might pass by as debris, Hubert saw as a survivor with a story to tell. Each burn pattern, each twist in the grain, carried the memory of the land that shaped it. From that day forward, his work became an act of preservation — rescuing these remnants and giving them a second life as functional art, carrying the quiet power of the wilderness into the spaces they inhabit.
